How UQual works
Students rate their institution
Current students and recent graduates rate their institution across 6 dimensions of service quality, from teaching to value for money.
Responses are verified & aggregated
We screen for duplicate and fraudulent responses, then compute a satisfaction index for every institution with a sufficient sample size.
Rankings are published openly
Results are published on uqual.net by category, with full transparency about sample sizes and methodology.
What we measure
The UQual Satisfaction Index is built from six dimensions of service quality, adapted from established service-quality research for the higher education context.
Teaching & Learning
Quality of lecturers, curriculum relevance, assessment fairness and academic rigour.
Facilities & Infrastructure
Lecture halls, labs, libraries, Wi-Fi, hostels and campus maintenance.
Student Support Services
Counselling, health services, financial aid guidance and international student support.
Administration & Responsiveness
Registration processes, staff helpfulness, complaint handling and communication.
Campus Life & Environment
Clubs and societies, sports, safety, inclusivity and overall student experience.
